Rights and voice are a common theme of all Oxfam programme and advocacy work. Oxfam supports formal and informal social networks to advance their own agendas, promoting collective action of people living in poverty and confronting inequalities and injustices.
Our partners
We support and collaborate with:
- Ethnic minority groups seeking to address discrimination and stereotyping as well as to promote respect for their cultural identities, both in the law and in public discourse.
- Organisations of migrants and informal workers advocating for better social protection and a more dignified life.
- Individuals and organisations seeking to change public perception of gender identities, and influence the legal frameworks that protect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people from discrimination and violence.
- Youth groups, in order to increase civic awareness of their role and responsibilities in contributing to sustainable development.
