One of the core aims of the project was to help individuals, NGOs and community-based organizations, and state authorities work together more effectively on governance of land and natural resources, and to give all stakeholders the tools to resolve disputes.
Through a series of training exercises, seminars and international exchange visits, Oxfam promoted partnerships between local authorities and community stakeholders that fostered a stronger sense of cooperation and accountability in dispute resolution.
In close partnership with five local NGOs, Oxfam supported information sharing and policy discussion across a network that empowered local citizens to advocate for sustainable natural resource and land governance.
