After completing a Masters of International Public Health in 2013, Pavle worked in the development sector as a researcher and project manager for a variety of organizations, including universities, NGOs, and government ministries. Pavle joined the Fair Finance Asia team in 2020 as a MEAL Specialist. "Working on the Fair Finance Asia project is inspirational, as it has such far-reaching implications on so many levels on such a wide range of issues; human rights, climate change, gender, equity " the list goes on," said Pavle. "I've been incredibly fortunate to work in a project that involves so many bright and talented people from diverse nations working collaboratively to tackle injustices caused by financial institutions that may not always have the best interests of all people at the core of their activities."
Influencing meaningful change
Pavle has always been a passionate advocate for the refinement of the development sector to better deliver outcomes for beneficiaries of projects, with novel program design and ways of approaching complex challenges being of particular interest. "Fair Finance Asia is unique as a method of impacting change, as it seeks to influence regulators and financial institutions to improve policies and practices," said Pavle. "In an era defined by countries beginning to understand how to meaningfully collaborate to tackle issues that are cross-cutting in terms of geographic, political, and social impacts, Fair Finance Asia is distinctive in bringing together national, regional, and global responses."
