Beloved supporters of Oxfam, Mrs. Hifsa Haroon–Iqbal and Mrs. Jacqueline Menzies visited Nepal to observe various ongoing programs firsthand in different parts of the country.
They visited various project activities such as, housing construction in Nuwakot district where Oxfam has provided earthquake resistant houses, waterpoints and mason training to families affected by the 2015 earthquake; Dhaka Weaving Loom and Pottery Firing Workshop in Bhaktapur district where Oxfam is implementing Sustainable Livelihoods Support for Earthquake Affected Families; Cabbage and tomato farming in Arghakhanchi district and observed bee hives where Oxfam is building economic resilience of migrant families by implementing livelihoods projects such as beekeeping, poultry, irrigation, vegetable farming etc.; met Water Users Committee in Dhading district where Oxfam is setting up water supply systems for affected communities, while also enjoying local food made by women in the communities.
