Social Protection for informal workers
A strategic project designed with industry representatives to increase effectiveness of national advocacy for more inclusive social protection frameworks, implemented by capacitated citizens. This program enrolls in the thematic “Decent Work” and its strategic objective to promoting decent work for sustainable, equitable, and inclusive development. The program contributes to two specific objectives: "Social protections for all" and "Promotion of social dialogue for all".
Women Led Service Teams (WLAS)
In response to the fast-changing rural economy, Oxfam and rural development partners initiated a new project designed around Women Service Teams. These small enterprises address:
WLAS provides diversity of technical services including rice production, vegetable cropping, animal husbandry and aquaculture. The teams have not only improved their livelihood and income but also help other small farmers to maximize their land for benefit.
Oil, gas and mining sectors management
Oxfam collaborated with the Ministry of Environment, bringing International expertise applied in planning the strategy for developing EIA Guidelines and ensuring participation from all interests especially the disadvantaged groups from affected communities. The EIA Guideline is now essential in minimising the negative impact to the local communities and the environment in the design of oil, gas and mining investment project in Cambodia.
